ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT

The waterproof powder coated aluminium displays as in the photos are hung on an existing scoreboard using the special brackets supplied. The height of the 3 digits is 470m/m. The controller box is usually in the commentary box and connected to the displays via a radio link.

Prior to the game starting the operator displays "GAME TIME" in minutes on the time display using the controller keypad. With the colorful operating sheet supplied operators are able to use the controller in a few minutes.

When the whistle is blown to start the game the operator sounds the sirens and starts the timer in the controller box. As it counts down each minute the time display is automatically updated. The clock can be stopped for time out when required. From the start of last minute left to play the clock switches to counting down every 2 seconds from 58 to 00 seconds, then the sirens will automatically sound to end the game.

The operator updates the scores on the displays via the controller as the game progresses.

At the end of the game the displays are always stored in the club rooms to eliminate "vandal problems" and long term (sun) weather deterioration. By storing the equipment inside, the equipment is expected to give the club an "extremely long operation life time". This a unique feature of the equipment.

Inbuilt battery operation is used at many grounds when electricity is not available to the 3 displays. The batteries are recharged overnight prior to the game by the inbuilt charger.

The final professional design has undergone many exacting improvements and is fully computerized to particularly meet the needs of rugby clubs. This is the second model, and it has proven to be very close to, completely reliable. The equipment is designed and manufactured in Australia, by Light Magic Electronics and the designer is a qualified and widely experienced telecommunications technician.

Warranty
Taking the reliability into account, we are pleased to offer a 2 year, return to base, full warranty. Of course, ongoing service is available.

It has been found that clubs using the system have moved to another level where the time "left to play" is easily seen by players and spectators, thus increasing the participation and enjoyment of both. The current score is updated from the commentary box via a radio link and easily readable from any position on the ground with the 470m/m high displays. The daytime visibility is far superior to LED illuminated displays and as a contrast, improves in bright sunlight. Nighttime visibility is excellent under normal flood lighting with the reflective digits supplied. Inbuilt rechargeable battery operation is available if required.

2. If batteries are used. A timer will turn off the inbuilt battery charger after 14 hours of charging time, to assist battery life.

3. The radio channel used by the "radio link to the panels" can be changed more easily, if interference problems occur.
